Being a young 26 year old full time working mother of one very active 9 month old boy, really makes life hectic and wild.
Between working full time, taking care of my son, planning for family activities, blogging, and trying to scramble time to work out, I am always on the move. Not too long ago, I decided to start including fitness into my daily routine. At the beginning, I thought it would be impossible since I barely have any free time, but I decided to take advantage of my lunch break, and now I use that hour to get a good work out in. I gotta say I already started liking going to the gym everyday.
For us, busy women, getting used to a new routine can be very hard and that can also be disturbed by that time of the month. Let’s just say that finding a good balance can be very challenging, and I have to admit it, I tend to forget a lot of stuff, especially during those days. But if motherhood has taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable. That’s why I always try to be one ready mom and be ready for anything.
Since mornings in my house are crazy.. insane.. truly nuts. I am running constantly trying to get out of the house on time. That is why I get everything ready at night. I take time to pack all my necessities for work and for the gym.
Because even on those days I push myself to go to the gym (Working out actually helps with all the aches that come on that time of the month. Exercise is a great stress-crusher. It also boosts metabolism, improves your circulation, and it helps you feel less sluggish. So go to the gym, for a run or even a walk.. Believe me you will thank me)
Here are my bag essentials:
Lip Balm – A woman always needs a good lip balm… always!
Hand Sanitizer – With a little boy to take care I’ve learn how everything is contaminated with germs, specially at the gym, so every once in a while I like to squirt a little bit of this and feel reassured that I have no germs on my hands.
Wipes – Wipes are always needed. Cleaning your hands, or just to refresh them. You never know when you’ll need them.
Earphones – I can not survive work or the gym without this puppies. I never forget them!
Mini towel – This is mainly for the gym. Since I have a short amount of time, I like to work out vigorously so yes.. I need a mini towel.
Water Bottle – Staying hydrated is the key to staying focus, having a better work out, and relieving body aches.
Extra hair ties – I lose my hair ties sooo often.. Don’t ask me how and since I do not know how to solve this mystery, I buy lots and keep extra in my bag.
Portable mini phone charger – I like listening to music while I work and I like watching Netflix while I’m on the elliptical so my battery is gone fairly quickly but this little guy saves me every time.
Pain reliever – Oh my friends… this will always help you. Whether its a headache, muscle pain, or cramps… Pain relievers are your best friends during those tough times.
Feminine Products – One of the best ways to relax through that time of the month is by selecting great products that help you feel more at ease, and that is when U by Kotex® products come into play. U by Kotex® Click® Tampons is my personal favorite, despite its small design, it gives me big comfort and lots of confidence, specially when I’m at the gym. You can find U by Kotex® products at CVS in the feminine care isle!
Here are a few other U by Kotex® products that help me breeze through those days –
U by Kotex® Barely There Liners – They are super flexible and, like it’s name, you feel like its barely there.
