Guess who is toddling and wobbling? At almost 9 months Raphael has been attempting to stand up on his own and adventure off around the house.
Big news – He no longer does the army crawl! Now he’s more into the Spider-man walk haha (that how we call it) He realized using his feet made him move much faster, but he’s still working on his balance so he still puts his hands on the floor. It is hilarious and super cute. I tried taking pictures of his Spider-man walk but he is way too quick for me.
The only downside to this is that he can now reach me and chase me when he wants to be picked up… Once that happens, he latches onto my leg and starts bouncing and says ‘mama’ non-stop… But who am I kidding, I love feeling this guy still needs me haha.
I have to say I am learning to enjoy each phase to the fullest. I love seeing my little guy being so courageous and determined. He’s favorite toys are all balls – Soccer balls, Baseballs, Basketballs.. But his absolute favorite is the Football. I think it’s because it doesn’t get away from him as easily as the other one haha. As you can imagine, his dad is thrilled seeing his son being so in to sport’s balls haha. I am too – here comes a confession – I am dreaming of the day I officially can call myself a soccer mom!..
Me and Raphael’s dad often daydream about the future and how we will be cheering him on in every game he has. Obviously, if he chooses not to play sports that will be fine as well. We will be present at any event his in.
By the way, Raphael is not only exploring every corner of the world… He also wants to eat the entire world. Everything he touches goes immediately into his mouth. Except for bubbles. During bath time he definitely enjoys the bubbles baths but strangely enough he has never tried to eat them – I wonder why?
Ha! Anyhow, my little man is just a hungry guy. He is eating everything! The only restriction our doctor gave us is honey. So we are staying away from honey until he is 12 months. Until them we will continue to eat everything else, including chairs, brushes, baby shoes.. etc.
Oh! I am enjoying this phase so much!!! Nothing beats your child’s face when finally getting that ball that keeps rolling away from him 🙂
